If your going to have Big Foot stalk and chase the happy campers etc, then you need to have some good well developed characters some that people want killed and some people don't. Watch Jurassic park 3, although not the greatest film on earth there was this mother in the film looking for her sun acting the typical emotional panicky, rash archetypal mother. I sat there thinking shut up they'll here you and no don't do that etc. I don't normal do that in movies even horror films but the characters (not the dinosaurs) were well written and in my humble opinion they saved the film from being another "oh its a dinosaur" pile of dino crap.

I'm lookin for ideas on a movie im producing about the legend of the Sasquatch (or Big Foot if you will) and im kinda short on inspiration.
I wanna have some cool shots of it in the woods stalking some campers and it'll go from there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Im not quite sure how to make the creature look but I might use some hallowe'en costume with bearskin as some cloak.
Anybody know of a good costume rental store or of any good music which should be included?
thanx

Basically film really far away and always have the camera jogging out of proper framing position. Just watch a real Tv thing. You'll get the picture, the most interesting things are never on film for too long. Except the Rodney King beating that was too long. But gripping all the same.

You know nate if you took some time, you could acually have a good film. Try and stay away from the typical horror thing, like with the blood and in your face violence. If you did it with a creepy effect it would be cool. And with the Big Foot, you really don't ever need to show him other than maybe his feet or his hands or his eyes, becasue for one, no one has really seen a Big Foot so so why would this paticular big foot show himself to these people, and two seeing as this is a low budget film board, we are all trying to make the best movies we can with practically no moeny, your creatur is not going to look convincing if we see it up close. You are more likley to make people laugh. So i highly suggest you go for the show little idea, and by the way don't listen to the other people about the Blair Witch thing, you can make this into a real good movie. But do devolpe your charecters and make it real interesting, like with a twist ending.

Put lots of violence and lots of gore in it. Show people getting their arms and legs ripped off. Plus get some sexy blondes with nice tits and have the creature rip them up too (but not their breasts, that would be sick).

I agree with jeph, i was actually about to post the same ting before he did, dont ever show the Sasquatch but let the audience know for a fact he's there. Also build characters up, so that the audience wantssome to die andsome not to, then kill off the characters the audince wants to live maybe all except one, and have the characters that the audience wanted to die, grow from the whole experience so audience now does like them.

mmmmmmmmm I tell you what my favourite shot is at the moment ... when in the woods, get some people (the cast) to walk along in a fairly straight line, with the camera about 20-30 foot to one side of them ... film them, making sure the camera movement is smooth (if you get a dolly use it!) ... its impressive, really it is. The trees and undergrowth going past the camera, yet the characters still clearly visible in the distance.
Mmmmmmmm. Need some plot ideas?
